Data deletion instructions
How to delete your Periscope account data and revoke connected social platform access.
Last updated 6 July 2026
Overview
Periscope is operated by Periscope Social (ABN 92 241 934 532).
You can delete or disconnect your data in Periscope without using this page in most cases. This document is provided for app-store compliance, privacy requests, and teams that need a stable URL to reference.
Option 1: Disconnect social accounts
If you only want Periscope to stop accessing a social network, disconnect it in the product (workspace owners and admins):
- Sign in at portal.periscope.social
- Open Settings → Organisation → Connections
- Use the disconnect control for each platform (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, X, TikTok, etc.)
Disconnecting removes stored access tokens and stops future data sync for that platform. Historical cached analytics in your workspace may remain until the workspace is deleted or you submit a deletion request below.
Option 2: Remove yourself from a workspace
If you are a team member but not the workspace owner, ask your organisation's owner or admin to remove you from Settings → Organisation → Team. They can revoke your access without deleting the whole workspace.
Workspace owners who want to leave must transfer ownership to another active member on Team settings first, or delete the workspace if they are the only member.
If you cannot reach an admin, send a privacy request using the email on your Periscope account so we can verify your identity.
Option 3: Delete an entire workspace
Workspace owners can delete the organisation and associated data from the product:
- Sign in at portal.periscope.social
- Open Settings → Organisation → Workspace
- Use Delete workspace and confirm
This removes the workspace, team memberships, brand profile, connected accounts, cached analytics, and onboarding data tied to that organisation from our active systems, subject to the retention notes below. Your personal Periscope login is not deleted; other members lose access to that workspace only.
Option 4: Delete your user account
You can delete your personal account from Settings → Your account → Security.
If you own a workspace with other active members, you must transfer ownership first. If you solely own a workspace, deleting your account also permanently deletes that workspace and its data.
Option 5: Submit a deletion request
To request erasure of data we hold about you, or ask us to delete a workspace you cannot access in-product, send a privacy request.
Please include:
- The email address associated with your Periscope account
- Your organisation or workspace name (if applicable)
- Whether you want full account deletion, workspace deletion, or only certain data removed
- Any connected platforms you have already disconnected (if relevant)
We will verify ownership of the account and respond within 30 days (or sooner where required by law). Complex requests may take longer; we will let you know if an extension is needed.
What may be retained
After deletion, we may retain limited information where necessary, for example:
- Billing and invoice records required for tax and accounting
- Security, abuse-prevention, and audit logs for a limited period
- Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify you
- Backups that are purged on our normal backup rotation schedule
Third-party platforms
Deleting data in Periscope does not delete your accounts or posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, X, TikTok, or other networks. To remove data held by those services, use their own account and privacy settings.
